Training:

Under the aegis of Asavari, training in Kathak, vocal and instrumental music is being imparted to keen students. A staunch believer in the Gurukul-parampara, Shovana imparts to her disciples not only details of Kathak but also her own sensitivities and message of love, righteous practices and trust, which makes an artiste humane. Here she has successfully redefined the Guru-Shishya tradition and related it to the modern society. Her dedication as a guru of excellence can be seen in her disciples who have become acclaimed young dancers of the country. Some have utilized their training in Kathak to shine in related fields of arts;

Other instructors associated with Asavari in the past had included Guru Tirath Ajmani, Manish Gangani, Parveen Gangani, Ranjana Narayan, Shakeel  Ahmed Khan, Ustad Shafaat Ahmed Khan, Pt Indu Prakash, Abdul Sami Khan, Hari Mohan Sharma, to name a few.

Ever since lockdown due to Covid 19, online classes were started and which still continues along with physical classes.

Physical Classes:

Physical classes are held at 1st floor, Multipurpose Hall, Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan KG Marg, Copernicus Marg New Delhi - 110001 (Entry from gate no.2) Near metro Station: Mandi House.

Groups 1 and 2: Mondays and Wednesdays from 4pm to 7pm:   Acharya – Vidushi Komal Biswal

Groups 3 and 4: Friday evenings 4pm to 7pm and Sunday mornings 11am to 2pm: Acharya – Vidushi Pallavi Lohani

Semi-professional and Professional: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm to 7pm: being conducted by Padmashri Shovana Narayan

Asavari Repertory classes: Saturday evenings 4:30pm to 7pm and Sunday mornings 9am to 11am: In-charge: Shailja Nalwade
